Communication with your Dog

Eva is a Princess and everybody's life revolves around her needs, there is no doubt about that.

Ever since she was big enough to have two meals a day, my husband has been waking up at 6 to 6.30 in the morning to feed her (one hour earlier than he would have normally, had we not had her.) Because she sleeps alone downstairs in her own room, we don't actually know what time she gets up. My hubby says that most of the time, when he goes downstairs, she is already awake and waiting for her food, therefore, he has a responsibility to get up for her! Having slept together with her a few times, while we go on holidays, we have decided that she normally gets up at 4, and then goes back to sleep.

Daddy is my servant!

During the evenings, for her second meal, she is very good at asking for her food. For instance, she realized that after doing a toilet, would she then get her meal. Therefore, nowadays, around 4.30 to 5, she would always ask to go out!! By doing that, she would sit next to my husband who is normally on the computer, and jump on him. (By the way, she only does this to him. Apparently, she feels I don't understand her like he does!!)

Eva has an internal alarm clock and she loves routine!
Carrying the camera would mean going out for pictures.
BUT carrying her crate would mean you would have a sheltie glued to you wherever you go because that means CAR RIDE!!!

We would also like to say happy 23 months to this little princess!!!

P.S. If you like the new header above and would like one, let me know ;) Rosie has been making them.

Growing up (or not)

Another week has flown by.
In just slightly more than a month, this little happy-go-lucky girl will be 2 years old! Time really does fly!

But just to prove she hasn't lost any of her puppy charm, here's a sweet little video for you!

The Infestation of Ticks

These few days, we have been finding lots of ticks, big and small, on Eva. WEIRD! We have no idea where they could have come from because she hasn't been out much lately, except in the garden. Even though I've put Frontline on her just recently, I've still found ticks here and there. Poor girl, she's always itching! But she's a good girl, staying still while we're tick hunting.

In the meantime, she's enjoying lots of play time with ball, bone, and frisbee with her daddy!

And sometimes...the odd slipper does get her attention!

We are also sorry to hear that our dear friends at Rottrover have lost their beloved boy, Gizmo to the Cancer Monster. RIP dear Gizmo.

Doga Quotes for the weekend

A good experience becomes a good memory,

a bad experience becomes a good lesson learned.

Have a great weekend!!!

Bath-time AGAIN!

It was bath-time again yesterday. Did you know... mommy said that I am being such a good girl now with baths. I don't try to run away or do something naughty. I just stand there and let them torture me!
During drying, I get my favorite treat, which is what makes me behave. Without it, there's no way the blower is going to get to me!!

Going to the groomers is worse though because I am all alone and I have to try to be a good girl. They don't even give me treats for being good!!! Some places are just not worth the car ride!

Who wants to come on a ride with me?

Do you know where I love going to most?
Grandma's!

She takes care of lots and lots of babies and I love playing with them.
There is this one particular boy she babysits and he loves me! Mommy said that after I left, he asked where I was. Can you believe it? I played 'bow' with him while he played 'peek-a-boo' with me! Unfortunately, mommy didn't get any photos or videos of me for you to see.

My humans think it's amazing I don't react to loud baby noises and crying.
What can I say?
I am a sheltie!

We are back... and it's also World Smile Day!

Lots of my friends have been asking me to come back to blogging. I have to admit, after stopping the blog for a few weeks (I mean months), I have become lazy about coming back!!!
It has been so relaxing to just read post updates from everyone when you feel like it, and enjoying the relief from blogging pressures.

Life has been unusually quiet these days with the two noisy naughties gone - Rosie and Orah.

Orah had a fantastic holiday here and we all loved her (minus the chewing her destructive puppy teeth had to go through!). Eva and Orah became fast BFFs and they were really two little devils.

Orah grew into a beautiful young lady during her stay with us.
Here is one of the last pictures we took of her. She was 9 months old then.

Not much has been happening recently (which is partly why I didn't know what to post) ...
But I guess some of you may be missing a bit of a certain sheltie's pictures :)
So here she is...posing (as always) at 22 months!

When did this girl grow into such a mature, serious looking young lady?
She definitely still acts the same though (noisy, cheeky, crazy) ---

Well, it's great to be back!
I'll come around and visit all of you later :)

Happy World Smile Day everybody!!!

Can you see my big big smile??
