Saturday Smiles

Who are those two beautiful girls, I wonder?
Hard to believe it's been a year since Hana came to us.

Eva has inherited so many beautiful things from her mother like their looks, but most of all, their personality.
All our dogs have very good dispositions, but sometimes there are a few growls here and there if they are annoyed (not at us humans, but at other dogs).
Eva has never ever growled in an angry way in her entire life at a dog or a human. She has never been aggressive or showed her teeth. Even when she is reluctant to do something, she still does it without any fuss. She is naughty and cheeky, but in a very innocent and naive way. Meanness is not in her vocabulary. I think that's what is very beautiful about her.

A lot of fun in the house

Hi everyone. Miss Eva here!

You are probably wondering how my new buddy, Blackie is doing. With us dogs, she's perfectly fine and friendly. With the humans, however, she is quite shy and timid and will only come if they have food.

She is quite a naughty girl. She dug 3 BIG HOLES last night!! Compared to her, well, I dare say, I'm a little princess. Blackie is residing outside with Mika but whenever she hears me going out to the garden for a toilet, she will come and say hi and we will wag our tails at each other. Once she even tried to push over the fence to play with me!

We love playing 'catch me if you can'

We were playing very happily until....

She started nipping my neck.
First of all, Princess Eva does not tolerate other dogs (with the exception of her mother) nipping her neck.
And second of all, an excess of SALIVA on my beautiful coat!
I couldn't stand it and ended the game immediately.

Did I ever mention that I am a very very clean dog?
You should see the way Blackie drinks water. It's like she hasn't drunk for ages, and she licks so roughly.
Worst of all, she leaves all her saliva in the bowl. I have to go all the way back to the kitchen to ask my mommy for some clean water out of my own water bowl!

Some of you have been asking about my Uncle Mika.
1 week after his operation, the hoomies have been swimming him and now he is swimming 30 minutes daily. They are also walking him in circles to try and get him to use his leg. Sometimes, it will touch the ground, but he still isn't using it :( Hopefully, the swimming can help build up his muscle and hopefully with a bigger muscle, he can start using his leg again.

11 months AND a visitor!

Our Miss Eva is 11 months old today, would you believe it?
Where does the time go???

Our little puppy has grown into such a beauty!

Well, now I bet you're wondering who our surprise visitor is?
My sister needed to go overseas for a few days so she left her puppy with us. Blackie was rescued by my sister from the streets just a few weeks ago (she's about 4 months old now) because puppies had been mysteriously disappearing one by one, and we think some bad people might have taken them.

So, although Blackie is only 4 months old, she has had a far wider range of experience of life than Eva does.

She came to visit just a few days ago to see if Mika could accept her.
She's a very friendly girl and when she arrived, Eva took her on a tour around the house.
They were walking side by side watching each other until ....
someone started the game!

(I'm hoping to get better pictures tomorrow!)

Mika is perfectly fine with her and although he didn't join in the girls' childish games, he was watching in the background :)

Here's to hoping that little Blackie has a good time here with the dogs and that she can teach Eva a little something.

Miss Eva goes swimming

Greetings everybody!
It was a hot and sunny day today and my Uncle Mika had just gone for his swim. I was getting a little jealous because the humans never seem to notice me! I want to swim too but they always tell me that my fur takes way too long to dry! Who cares?
Well, today, with my cute looks, I finally got them to let me swim! Woohoo!

Here I am with my life jacket ready to go!

I just love it when I can gracefully swim around and watch the world go by!

Taking a breather

Giving my mommy the evil stare!

Oops! Gotta shake!
EEK! I'm all wet!
Oh don't look! This is embarrassing!
Unfortunately, due to being a dog and not being able to type on the computer as such, I couldn't stop my humans from uploading a video of me swimming. Actually, to tell you the truth, the part of me swimming isn't exactly interesting but they just wanted you to see me do something really funny (or at least they think it is!)
Just keep a look out from around 30 seconds in the video. They want you to watch me do this funny shake.
Try not to laugh....

Oh, and don't worry about me when I look like I'm trying to get out of the tank. I'm not really. Just trying to stand. Unfortunately, the humans made the tank a bit fuller than they used to so the buoyancy kept me from standing.

When you're done laughing at me, here's a picture of me after the swim with my coat all fluffy again!

Our new DSLR

Silly me got our old camera wet and it decided to stop working for us.
With Miss Eva in the house, we cannot miss a day without the camera.
With a lot of pestering from Rosie about getting a better camera to take nicer pictures of Eva, we ended up getting our first DSLR :)

Canon EOS 550D Digital Camera Canon EOS 550D Digital Camera | Canon EOS 550D Price in India, Canon EOS 550D Specifications | Canon EOS 550D Review | Canon EOS 550D Features | Canon EOS 550D Kit

The lighting today was not that great but here are some shots. Hopefully this camera will bring us better pictures with better lighting!

Friday Flashback

Grandma Laura! Look at the flashy box!!
*poke* Grandma?

Poor Uncle Mika

We took Mika to the vet just a few days ago and came back with not so good news.

Apparently his muscle atrophy is pretty bad and he may not be able to use the leg again.
The leg doesn't seem to be hurting anymore when the vet moved it around but his muscles may have lost their memory.
Of course, we are still trying our best with daily swims and also some special supplements.

But don't worry about him! He is still as happy as ever, as long as we give him treats and lots of attention!

Open your mouth the widest competition!

My two beautiful girls

These are the pictures taken in summer, the day before Rosie went back to her boarding school in the UK.
Time does fly by, Rosie is having her half term break from tomorrow but she's not coming home as the journey is too far and the flight is too long. She's staying with her friend and her family for the break!
BUT We'll have Rosie back in Christmas!!!

My two beautiful girls...
Strong characters
Noisy for Eva
Quiet for Rosie

Have a wonderful term break, Rosie!!!

Sizzling Sunny Sunday

On top of my recent heavy duties, my hoomans asked me to be their model...
I was like 'WHAT! Didn't you think I've already had enough work?"
It's hot out there!!!
Ready! Go!
Serious LOOK!
I was asked to RUN!
See how hot it is? Can't even put all my paws down!

  More running...

You wouldn't believe what the humans brought out today!
At first I was so angry at it and kept trying to bite it, but after a while, it started becoming really boring and I decided to ignore it.

It's just way too sunny!! Don't they make doggy sunglasses?

Mummy thought you might like to watch my crazy barking side:
It was windy and I enjoyed it but I wasn't happy with the rustling leaves ...

Happy Sunday to all of you!!!
