It's a new year

I hope all my friends had a great New Year celebration. In fact, you wouldn't believe what my humans did!! They went to bed early and left me in my room barking at the fireworks!

Even though it is a new year, I still have to maintain my duties in the household.
In the morning, I chase away the cars and cats. I know how scared they are of my fierce growls and barks!

Here I am prowling the perimeter.

There are cats on that wall. I wish my scary jowls and barks would scare them off!!
Somehow, they don't seem to care much about me no matter how much I jump or bark!
Those kitties just sit and watch and lick their paws!!!!

Wouldn't you be scared of me??

I bet they don't know how fast a sheltie can run!

There's this kitty that lives inside the drain. I can't see him but I can smell him! Everytime he comes near, I will start growling so he goes away. This is usually my first destination in the mornings.

After that, I practise my agility skills by jumping across here to chase the cars that go by!

I do try and find some time to play with my Uncle Mika too but I don't think he really enjoys me jumping on him.

My afternoons are then spent playing with my toys...

Or trying to sleep...

(The paparazzi is always around!)
You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get some rest around here! Humans are so noisy and there are always the cars passing by that keep me awake! A princess needs her beauty sleep!

Eva you have quite the day!!! You are one busy lady!!

You know...of course I would have some thoughts about the cats.

I think the word has spread throughout the "Cat Kingdom" that you frequent some cat blogs. Yep...you got it, word travels FAST!!

The kitties see that you really, deep inside LIKE cats so they are coming to show their gratitude.

Cody does the same to Dakota. He just sits and stares at him while Dakota is spinning and barking as if he is saying "peon, I would never exhibit THAT kind of behavior!! Lol!!"

How is a gorgeous Sheltie like yourself ever supposed to get some sleep with the paparazzi (sp?) always around? I LOVE IT!!

Hi Eva! It looks like your days are filled with business! We spend most of our time wrestling, sleeping, and chasing balls. Being a dog is difficult work, isn't it?

You are just so adorable! You have so many jobs. Great photos!

Eva really does need her sleep with all those duties she has, it is hard being a working dog, but she seems really happy to have her jobs! What a sweetie she is! I can not believe those kitties are not more scared, she looks very serious-but maybe she is just telling them to not come closer but allowing them to stay on the top of the fence!

I LOVE all those pictures! They're all so beautiful.

Where we used to live, we had cats next door. My Golden Retriever would try to scare them like you do, but the cats would sit on top of the fence and let their tails droop down onto our side of the yard! He'd get so angry, but they just wouldn't move.
