Mika

It's me, Eva here.
Don't worry, it's nothing about me today but some updates on Uncle Mika :)

Mika looks great, doesn't he?
See his right leg and hip, don't they look great??

However, the 'yeast' came back to attack his skin again so my humans have to give him a very long bath twice a week. He has to go through two shampoos and the whole process lasts for 1 1/2 hours. It's no kidding! He never likes it  but he is always a good boy, never throws his tantrums and do some annoying things like what I 'm good at during the bath time. He just stays and lets my humans bathe him, he doesn't even shake when the humans are around. He's so considerate! My mum always tells me how she wishes I could learn this virtue from Mika. I think she's day dreaming! I speak what I feel as most humans say!!!

The vet gave him lots of cream and meds.  Mika is okay with the cream but he hates tablets so Dad has to pry open his mouth whenever it's meds time. This time, Mum wishes that he could be like me; I've no problem with tablets because I chew them like they are the sweetest treats in the world : )

As you all know that Mika is a tough guy so everything is under controlled!!!

YAY!!! Thank you for the update on Uncle Mika Eva girl!!!

It was so nice of you to let us know how he is doing! What a good boy he is but how taxing it must be for your Mommy to give a bath that lasts so long! If it helps with his yeast then that is a good thing!

I understand why you shake your luxurious fur after a bath, you have loooong fur and Mika has short fur!

You are just like Dakota with your meds, both he AND Cody love to eat so much that they gobble up whatever pills come their way!

Tell your Mommy it is so lovely to see flowers!! We just got 9 inches of snow and your flowers are beautiful!

he he, sounds like if we combine the best of both of you we'd have the perfect dog...but wouldn't that be boring!

Can you get Pill Pockets over there ? They are little meaty morsels with a hole in the middle for a pill to go in.....I love them and gobble them down pill and all! They even make an allergy formula one too for those of us with sensitive tummies.

Mika does look great. Sorry that the yeast came back. Hopefully the baths will clear that up in no time.

Have you ever tried pill pockets or sticking inside a hot dog or something?

Mika looks great! Sorry to hear about his infection, but I am glad he is good for the baths and most of the treatments!

Mika does look so good! It's because of all that swimming! You guys have done such a good job with him!

Mom always puts my pills in a ball of canned food or in a little cheese or peanut butter so I will eat it. Maybe Mika would like that?

I love hearing about Mika and his recovery.. it's wonderful. But now, skin problems... :( Not fun!!! However, he seems to be a tough guy who knows how to behave while getting a bath so hopefully he'll be rid of the skin problems in no time. :)

James has magically become really good too. He got a shower the day before his show and although not happy about it, he just sits there. When it really comes down to it, I actually believe he likes it, he just can't admit it. I mean, the water is nice and warm and while getting lathered up, he's getting a nice massage. How can you not like that? ;)

Mika looks great! I'm like you, Eva - swipe any pill through the peanut butter or the cream cheese and I'll chomp it right down!

Love ya lots

Mika -- we thought we had the record for the number of baths a dog has to endure...WOL :).

Go Mika!! Mom said, has Mika tried a grain free diet? Sometimes the grain in the kibbles can cause yeast build up...

I think of you alot now that cousin Rebel is staying with us!

I'm so glad that he is doing well. 1.5 hour baths, what a nightmare!

I have a great blog I'd love for you to check out, www.PetBlogsUnited.com. It's a wonderful place for pet bloggers to find each other.
