Oh, Eva!
I wish you could have a recall that was as good as this!
"Eva, COME!" is one of the least reliable recalls, unless she is bored and she knows you have food.
"Touch" is quite a reliable recall, no idea why! I think she enjoys touching my hand for food.
"Play catch" is when I throw a treat and she catches it. She enjoys it a lot.
"Dinner!" is actually a recall for my DH so he knows it's time to help set the table up.
Eva is the one who leads the man to the dining room even though she gets nothing from both of us.
The best recall? When it's HER dinner time!
Our little princess sheltie is actually a big fat piggy who adores her food and literally inhales it in seconds.

My recall is usually just "here" ot "come" or the dog's name.
Over here we just have to say "Snack time" and Maxx will come running! LOL! That little glutton!

Recalls are so tough, especially with so many better things to do!
Eva's "good" recalls sound just like some other doggies I know (won't say who!).
"Come" doesn't work very well here either...my husband has an entire silly thing he does at dinnertime "Dakota...do YOUUUUUUUUUUU want............DINNERRRRRR???" Dakota starts to shriek and spin and yep, just like beautiful Eva, inhales his dinner in seconds!

I agree that dinnertime gets my vote as best recall event here too!
Sigh. I have the same problem. The boys just know when I have food and when I don't. I've never had the patience to teach a reliable recall.

Yea, most dogs figure out that "come" means the end of all the fun. You may want to work on saying "come" and they when she does, send her back to what ever she was doing. That way she learns that come isnt the end of fun times. Dogs always keep us thinking. Great pictures!!
I never would of guessed that Eva was a piggy! She strikes me as the type who would pick at her food! LOL!
Bailey is pretty good with come. However, if I happen to knock the metal food bowls, nothing on heaven or earth can prevent them from reaching me.
We know all about big fat piggies around here-we have 4 who I doubt have ever used their teeth during dinner time. They could each double as a vacuum.

Eva is so beautiful when she runs with her furs flying in the wind! If she eats like that, she must be kin to Holly. Holly inhales her food! Her recall is almost useless unless she thinks it's time to come inside! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
I never thought of Eva as the piggy-type of doggie! She's so slim! But I guess that's because she rarely stops moving, running & barking. BOL! I am sure she burns a lot of energy doing those things.
I use "here" Khandi has "selective" hearing LOL! i thought Khandi enhaled her food until Ellie came along! They now use a gulper bowl and they defiantley slow them down.

Love the "dinner" recall-- how nice of Eva to help out! It's not really true that she gets nothing though. She gets your gratitude and love, and there is probably a petting too.
"Wanna Treat" is my best recall. Always works except perhaps when there's a squirrel to be chased.

I'm usually happy with Layla's recall, but I know I couldn't call her off something that REALLY has her attention. If there's a rabbit in the yard, she would NOT listen and come to me, no matter what kind of food/treats/toys I would have on me.
Other than when animals are present that she wants to chase, we've played so many recall games that she thinks they're fun and has a good recall.
No need to call me at dinner time either. I'm there before Mum puts my dish down, that's all the recall I need bol. Lovely pics Eva!

Eva, Bambi loved her food too. She ate like someone would eat it if she didn't hurry and eat it all up and there was no one who would.

me 'n asa's recalls aren't very reliable either. but that's only cuz mama hasn't learned that the magic words are SUPPER TIME and not COME. heeheeheeeeee.
btw, don't let my big sis asa trick you into thinkin' she is totally full of the manners. she's a piggy, too! she eats her food in like 3 seconds, and then comes and waits by me so that she can lick my dish when i finish my food!!
