My Little Bird Plant

A friend gave me a baby bird plant three months ago. I don't really know its name but it seems it is called Pedilanthus which is also known as "Devil's Backbone"or "Red Bird Plant".

I have to admit that I was quite worried that the plant wouldn't last longer than two months as gardening isn't my forte at all.  My husband does most gardening and it's his garden.

Since it was a gift and my dear friend always checked on it,  I had to remind myself to water it everyday and secretly prayed that it could last longer and grow stronger : )

Therefore, you can imagine how happy I was this morning when I saw this tiny little bird sitting on top of the stem.

It doesn't really look like a bird yet but you can see the form of it. It's a new born baby bird and it isn't red but who cares, I've a little bird on my plant now!!!

Hope you will show it again when it turns red.

Well how amazing is that....I have never or seen or heard of it before and it does look like a baby bird!!! And you know it has special memories attached to it now....not only that your friend gave it to you...but that you took such special care of it. Mom says check out her bloggie...she was in the gardening mood today too and had some stories to share http://farawaygaze.blogspot.com/
