She is HOME!

I've been missing you, my friends!

Mom and her mom are finally home and it seems they had a very good trip
(WITHOUT ME!!! HOW COULD IT BE???)

They visited the place which is used to be called Formosa
but most people call it Taiwan or the Republic of China today.

Over there, they saw the HEAD of Queen Elizabeth.

Then
KING KONG

and
a
FAIRY SANDAL.

Those things don't make any sense to me at all.
LOL!!!

At a night market, Mom spotted these two.

Both of them had a cable car ride in Sun Moon Lake

They went to Alishan National Scenic Area to see a wooden pig and a wooden heart.
(Silly peeps!!!)

Time for prayers in Fo Guang Shan

They crossed the Tropic of Cancer.

A memorial building in Taroko National Park
They kept visiting MOUNTAINS!

So boring!

Guess what it is?

a RESTAURANT!!!

Oh, I'm so glad that she is home at last!!!

ME when Mom wasn't home!

By the way, Mom did bring me some snacks due to her guilt :))

Oh my, everything is so beautiful! Loved the pig and the heart. And the building built into the mountains. I always picture Taiwan as a busy & crowded. But, these photos make me want to go there and explore :)

Please, please be VERY very careful with any dog treats that come out of China. They are including toxic ingredients that are dangerous & life threatening for our pets. You can Google the issue, it will come right up (chicken jerky). Treats here in the US using ingredients from China have been pulled off the shelves.

So happy to see that Eva is HAPPY again! Please excuse my outburst if you already knew about the dangerous treats.

Hi Sweetpea, thank you so much for your warning. Don't worry about my treats as my mom is a very careful too. Taiwan is a funny country and has a funny international status. According to Mainland China, the China government claims the island belongs to them but the island people never think they belong to Mainland China. Taiwan people have their own government and system and they are good friends of the USA.

Mom had checked the packages before she bought them and in fact, the shopkeepers told her that they don't sell anything MIC at all. LOL. My treats are made in Australia and Netherlands.

Hi Sara, Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, is indeed busy and crowded. There are lots of beautiful shopping malls and interesting night markets. Other cities are much quieter and peaceful.

The tourist spots could be crowded during holidays as there are more and more tourists from Mainland China. However, you can still find your own peaceful time enjoying the scenery as tourists usually come and go within minutes.

Taiwan is very different from Mainland China; it is clean and people are truly friendly. It's an interesting place to explore.

When Unkhle Steve furst moved to Asia, he lived on THAT island - he was in Kaoshiung (or however it is spelled) -

It does seem like a special place -

I'm glad she is HOME!!!
