Wordless Wednesday #42

I was looking for some pictures for today WW and came across them.
In fact I've been thinking of Laura since last week and it was a bit overwhelmed yesterday. I had a lunch with a friend a week ago and she told me how much she really missed Laura because she was the only Rottweiler that she could pet and hug. Then, the driver of a recycling company who came to collect some old newspapers asked about Laura yesterday. He still remembered our giant but sweet and gentle Laura.

Today, I feel like putting all Laura's pictures out and I found these few sweet pictures of Laura and Eva. :)

Oh Priscilla, how very wonderful, sad and ironic. Maybe it's the spring weather here, but I have been absolutely aching for my big gentle girl! I was just looking for a WW and thought I would post Meeka too.

These pics of Eva and Laura are priceless, I'm sure you're thrilled you have them! So, so sweet!

Then on top of it all I found this new Rottie blog today: http://rottrover.blogspot.com/ Those are some beautiful big Rott's on that page.

Hope you feel better soon, maybe in time missing our big girls will get easier. . .

What a gift to learn that other people are missing Laura too. A testament to her beautiful personality.

Laura was very patient with frisky Eva. I'm sure Eva learned a lot from Laura, and looked up to Laura as the "wiseone" in the family.

Patti's comments are perfect for these photos! So glad Eva had the chance to know Laura - what a lovely relationship they had!

they say there "are no coincidences in life"....you were thinking of Laura and the gentleman asked about Laura FOR A REASON...she was communicating with you....she was thinking of you and wanted to send her love to you!

Those pictures are amazing...social and funny Eva, and gentle, patient and mothering Laura.

So very cute! Can you imagine if pictures didn't exist to spark our memories? We could still remember, I'm sure, but not nearly so vividly.

It's always hard dealing with the passing of your loved ones..

Those are really sweet photos. Laura sounds like she was a great dog. A rottie was euthanized at my work today (I work at a vet hospital), she was *almost* as beautiful as Laura :) They really are wonderful dogs.
