We bought a puzzle toy for Eva to try out recently. I had to import it from elsewhere because they don't sell these toys her in Malaysia.
We were all very excited when the box arrived!
"Another box for me?? Let's open it!!!"
"HEY!!!!!! Someone help me outta here, please?"
"You know, I think they call this puppy abuse!"

Even a smart sheltie like me couldn't figure out the logistics of getting the treat!!

A human's note:
It was to our greatest surprise when we came home after a while to find out that she had indeed managed to solve the puzzle. We still don't know how, but when we get a video of it, you'll be the first to find out!!!!
So the box asks - "How smart is your dog?"
Well....very apparently, not very!

This looks like a lot of fun! I haven't seen this toy before - I think I might want to get one for Bernie.
He really likes the 'Twist N Treat' treat dispenser, but this one definitely looks like it would be tougher.

Katy has more patience with these toys than Bailey. Bailey has that look that Eva got when she stopped and just stared at it.

Wow, that looked hard and I am super impressed at how determined Eva is, my dogs would have walked off but she kept working, she is very determined. I thought it was smart too that Eva did not take for granted where those treats would be...she had to check everywhere!
Eva did a great job with the puzzle. It sure did look like a tough one. Can't wait to see the video on how she does it!

Eva is a very smart girl! We had been wanting to get one of those for Dakota..
I made my own by taking a few little tea cups and I put a treat under one of them...we play find the treat!!

LOL - but Eva is smart because she figured out the toy when no one was looking! Maybe she just couldn't handle the pressure of the video camera! :)
Eva, it is obvious to me that you simply didn't want to let the humans on to the trick of how to get the treats so they couldn't steal them from you! You waited until they left so you could enjoy all the treats in peace. I think you're VERY smart!

I have thought about getting Chester and Gretel a puzzle toy for mental stimulation. I doubt they "want" it though. They would rather just have the damn treats.
