How do you stay calm?

Do you like those passing by objects like bikes, trucks, school buses and the stray dogs? I never like them as I find them really really annoying; they are nuisance.
Therefore, whenever I sense them coming, I try to protect my mom and of course, my own territory.

But Mom says I always over-react to them and she thinks I should learn TO STAY CALM ADMIDST CHAOS! I think she is completely crazy!

Do you think she expect me to stay smiling like this when some intruders are in your territory?

NO WAY, right?
That's why I did this in the afternoon.

Mom wasn't happy with me at all.
She sent me in the house immediately, and I gave her this look.

I refused to talk and play with her even though I knew she REALLY wanted to play with me.
I pretended I was tired and continued my beauty sleep.

Mom thought I was asleep and she left me BUT I was actually awake and I really wanted to play with her.

Oh Mom, it's really hard.

Can anyone tell me HOW to stay calm admidst chaos?

Hope all of you have a great weekend and play happily with your humans!

Tricky T-Day - stacking bowls and target

(Rosie did this post a day before she was back to school)

I had first watched Sara's video of Oreo and Chewy stacking their bowls.
Then Lian and Sonic joined in.

So of course, I really really wanted Eva to do it as well!

One slight problem we had was that she doesn't like to pick up anything once she sees her treat.

So the first thing I did was not to show her the treat. I had a clicker in hand, and once she picked the container up, I click and treat. Then I clicked immediately once she picked the container up in her mouth but it would only be for a second then she would drop it again. It took a few tries before she kept it in her mouth for longer.

To be honest, we didn't do this trick for long. We did it yesterday for around 5 minutes and today for around 5 minutes. So please don't expect it to be as perfect as Sara's and Lian's!!! But I hope the video will make you laugh :) I didn't edit it so you can see what a silly girl she is!

The other video is of her doing target. I taught it to her some time ago and we didn't really practice it, just sometimes when I have a treat, I will take the target (in the case, a coaster!) out. But she was really good today. Maybe she knew she was being videoed!

Hope you enjoy the video!

Dress-up for Rosie

While packing for Rosie to go back to the UK, we saw some items that we just HAD to put on Eva!

We don't ever dress her up, but in this case, Rosie wanted to photograph her looking cute so this poor girl had to endure it!

With some editing, these turned out looking like studio shots!

Wearing Rosie's beret which she's taking back to UK.
I think she just wanted Eva's fur to stick in it...

Only one more week left with Rosie. How did time fly so quickly?

A long day

Our appointment for the free spa that Rosie won was today. At first, we wanted to bring Eva over, but then we decided to give it to Mika as this 'Dead Sea Mud Spa' was meant to be good for dog itching, eczema, arthritis and other skin problems, we thought he might benefit more from it.

So first we dropped Eva off at her regular groomers', then Mika to his spa. Luckily, they were only 10 minutes away from each other. Two hours later, we collected Eva and called Mika's groomers asking if they were done. They said that it needed 1 more hour, therefore we decided to go to the park while waiting.

Whilst at the park, we met a 7 months old sheltie girl called Nina. Her owners knew Eva from the blog!!

Nina is a very sweet girl and we got the two to pose for a photo.

We didn't bring our camera, so these are all phone pictures.

We couldn't get sweet Nina to sit still. She is such a happy puppy who loves everybody...unlike someone.... but we realised that she would sit still when the word C A T is used! That's how we got these pictures!

It seems all pretty princesses wear PINK!

When we went back to collect Mika, they told us he needed yet another hour!!!
It seemed like they had just not long ago started his spa. We weren't very happy because it was meant to take 2-3 hours but he was not done yet.

Well, after four hours, Mika's spa was done.
Eva was dead tired in the car and when she arrived home, she did this.

Both dogs are looking very prim and proper now and they smell great!!

We got home to find Mika's pictures on the groomers' Facebook page, so I'll share some of them.

The MUD BATH!

Applying the mud...

Poor boy, maybe he's saying, "Can I go home now?"

Still need a blow dry

And a wipe

Someone's looking very handsome!

Thank you WETNOSE for giving our boy a spa and for taking these photos of him!
