new camera

We got Rosie a new camera since she had been asking for one since ... forever.
She told us that even THE DOG (Eva) has her own personal camera which takes daily pictures of her!
After much searching and researching, and wanting lots and lots of expensive cool cameras, we settled on a Canon S90 which can be considered as one of the best compacts around.

Under low light we managed to get some nice pictures of Eva.

~Paw~

Eva is also currently learning some other tricks such as turn (doing the spinny thing) and shy.

Go get the ball!

Face shots

Sorry we missed wordless wednesday but hope these pictures make up for it and for tricky t-day too! lol!

We also took Eva to the vet to get her nails cut and it turns out that Eva does have a mild case of Hip Dysplasia. The vet also suggested to take another xray in 2 months time to see if we want to consider the surgery which can only be done before 1 years old. However, we don't really want to put Eva through that risk and no guarantee that everything will be alright in the end.

your camera did take some beautiful shots, my favorite is the last one. I love when Shelties get that expression.

I am not super great technologically, does that camera make it easy to upload pictures? I am glad you posted the camera because I might look into it.

Sorry about Eva's hip, thank goodness it is "mild"....don't blame you for being hesitant about the surgery. Is it completely necessary?

Congrats on the new camera! Those pics look great! I've been using my dSLR for a lot of my photos. But it's pretty big to lug around town with me for just incase i need it. My current point and shoot camera is a 3 year old Olympus. I haven't used it in a long time because I've been so disappointed in it. I don't expect a P&S to shoot as high quality as a dSLR, but I do expect some decent photos. I've been wanting to get a new one for a long time. I'll keep that Canon in mind, but I'm pretty brand loyal to Nikon. :)

Eva is learning a lot of cool tricks! Sorry to hear about the hip dysplasia. I hope it's not bothering her too bad. I think she would tell you if she really needed the surgery or not. If she said she's just fine, then listen to her.

I have also been thinking about buying a camera as well but I worry about the cost and I also wonder about which one to buy so thank you for your recommendation!
Ever since I started blogging in January I've been snapping photos with my cell phone; many readers cannot believe how good my pictures are with just a simple cell phone so I'm lucky to have such a great phone!
I think Eva is adorable and she is very photogenic!
Did you know about Frankie (http://frankiefurterprice.blogspot.com) the dachshund's upcoming wedding? You've got to check him out!

Love the new camera!! We hope Rosie is having fun with Eva!!!
So sorry to hear about the hip displaysia. That is devastating! She looks like a very healthy girl, we hope she will pull through it and get better on her own!!

Great new camera. I always buy canon. I'm sure Rosie will have lots of fun with it.

So, so sorry to hear about the hip displaysia. I hope when you get your next x-ray, they will find that things are still doing ok and that she doesn't need the surgery. Your family has been through so much with your pets lately. I'm sure this is very stressful news.

Beautiful photos. Congratulations on the new camera. I hope that Eva doesn't have to have the surgery. If she does, I'm sure she'll come through fine, but so much the better if she doesn't.

Wonderful photos with the new camera! Keep snapping away, Rosie. Eva never takes a bad picture though, does she. I'm sorry to hear about the hip dysplasia. Hopefully, since it's a mild case it won't be problematic for her.

Congratulations to Rosie with her new camera!! She is already getting some beautiful photos with it!

So sorry to hear that Eva does have some hip dyslasia. Hopefully it won't cause her too much trouble.

I love those face shots of Eva! What a pretty girl she is! I just adore all her expressions.

Congratulations on the new camera, too!

There are a lot of dogs with hip displysia they never have symtoms so nothing needs to be done. Its unusual that they want to do surgery if she doesnt have symptoms. Im no vet but I would get a second opinion before having surgery unless she is having pain and limping. But thats just my opinion, I would research it. Diana

miss rosie's new camera takes grrreat pictures! i especially like the second to last picture of miss eva with her toothies showin' cuz i make that same exact face when mama's holding my squeaky ball over my head or a cookie, and i just want it really really badly!!
i hope that miss eva's hip dysplasia stays minimal or better yet, heals on its own, so that she doesn't need any surgery evarrr!
