Dogathon 2010

We took Eva to Dogathon today, a huge dog event where all dog lovers and their dogs gather together to socialize, take pictures, play games, watch obedience demos, etc.
Eva was so excited to see so many other doggies big and small.
Many months ago, when we took her out for the first time to meet doggies in her first obedience class, she was very shy and timid and didn't sniff other dogs. She would run behind us and hide. After many outings, she has become more confident and today, I can say that she sniffed many many butts! I think she now feels more comfortable around people and other dogs and less scared which is good.

Unfortunately, we didn't take many pictures, but we met all the people we wanted to see.

Guess who this is?
None other that the famous Hero the Sharpei, one of our first blogging buddies!
Hero is such a sweet and gentle sharpei and it was great to see him and his hoomans too! Hero was very gentle to our little princess and they kept going round in circles sniffing each other!!

Then we met up with Kiki, a beautiful copper and white husky.

We also saw Joey, Eva's obedience buddy whom she hadn't seen in a few months! You can't imagine Eva's happiness when she saw her long lost friend! She kept wanting to play with her and ran around in circles!!

Joey!!! I missed you!

Rosie also found a beautiful rottie girl called Happy to pet and hug.
She was a real sweetie just like our Laura.

Dogathan sounds like a really fun time, for both dogs & humans! I'm glad Eva got to meet some new friends, but how cute was she seeing her ol' buddy? That was great!

I love the photo of Eva and Joey showing how happy they were to see each other!

So happy for Rosie too that she found a Rottie to hug!

Thanks for sharing! Now if I could only figure out how to get your badge onto my blog...I don't think I can since my blog is on a newspaper website. Grrrrr.

Dogathon sounds like fun! Eva's such a little social butterfly these days. Woo hoo, you made a blog button! I really like it, and I've already added it to Bandit's blog.

I don't think the blog button link is working. I have it on our blog but when I click on it, an error occurs.

all beautiful pics again, but you know which one is my favorite!;) Rosie and Happy of course! Rosie must be missing her laura girl so much, but at least she has Eva and Mika to keep her company!

I figured out how to make your blog button link work. At the section where you put the name of your blog, right after the ", you need to add: http://

OMD, you met Hero! I saw the picture and said to myself, "Oh, how nice. A Pei." Then I realized it wasn't just a Pei, it was Hero the Pei. What an exciting event, but especially the Hero part.

lotsa licks, Lola

Hi Eva...thanks for wishing me well over at my blog. That Dogathon looks fun! WE are having a Dog Dayz event next weekend at our farmer's Market but I can't go. :( Maybe next year. Anyway, looks like you had a great time and met lots of wonderful doggies. I also saw your pictures from the beach...isn't the sand wonderful! It's my favorite thing to run on. The little turtle was very cute too.

Kisses,
Nala
