Mika

Mika seems to be in more discomfort now than he was before the surgery.
His walking is slow and he is still learning to adjust his body weight.
Good news is, he didn't bite his stitches out, but we still have to keep an eye on him.

Oh poor Mika!
I'm sorry, I hope it heals well and is painless. :)
Don't bite the stitches, it will only make it worse. Also, if you do, they will make you wear a LAMP-SHADE!!! You don't want that!

Maybe to pass the time you can chew on that tennis ball in the background.

Get well soon,
Love Miley xxx

Oh, I hope the pain goes away soon, but I imagine that it's a tough recovery. Poor Mika. Still, it could have been so much worse and he's had wonderful care. I'm sure he'll be feeling much better soon.

lotsa licks, Lola

Oh my, poor Mika.

Priscilla, I had a dog who suffered a horrific trauma. Despite being on heavy duty pain meds, he was in so much pain he couldn't even lie down. It was heartwrenching. Believe me, Mika's pain will ease. This time will pass. I know living these moments are very difficult. My heart goes out to you.

Sending you strength and Mika healing thoughts.....

Mika! You know I think the gals like rough looking dudes with scars. Think on that.

I am so sad to learn that your bottom is hurting you, but I think it is only for a little while and then you will feel much better.

Oh poor Mika! He just has to hang in there and it will take a little time to recover from the pain of the surgery. Just take care of him and wait and see. He will start to feel more like himself soon.

poor mika!! As everyone else said he is just adjusting to the "after surgery" effects..

You know if we humans have surgery we have discomfort for a few days (or weeks) after and doggies don't understand why they have discomfort.

He could still be tired from the anesthesia too....he should feel better and stronger with each passing day....sending him healing hugs!!!

So sorry,...this will be a rough few days, but tell Mika to hang in there....IT WILL GET BETTER! He acctually looks good, all things considered.. it looks like he is barely touching down with his foot...what a brave guy!!! It has to be so hard to see him hurting though ;-(. A few more days and things will start looking up.

Poor thing! I know it probably is quite painful for him right now, as he heals...but I just wish that he could understand that in a few weeks he will be good as new :) He looks wonderful...considering all he has been through!

Mika, so sorry you have to have a naked leg. We promise not to make fun of you. It'll probably take time to gain strength. That was a major surgery. But, you've already shown how strong you are and have such good humans to help you recover!
