I had a great day...NOT

One word to sum up my feelings ...

Petrified

Priscilla here:

Today, we went to visit a lady who does boarding for dogs and also fosters unwanted dogs, because we are planning on leaving Eva with her when my husband and I visit Tasmania next year. It was just the right timing when some of Rosie's husky friends were going to have a gathering there so we decided to pop in and take a look at the surroundings.

Just as we arrived, Eva had obviously sensed something because she refused to get out of the car and into the house. (She never does this!) So with a little shoving from us, she entered and was greeted by a group of huskies, all bigger than her, may I add! They were friendly, but obviously this strange object required them to 'gang up' on her!

I think Eva was terrified of all the huskies. She didn't like it when one of the pups wanted to play with her, and went to her submissive pose many times.

She then got dumped into the pool and swam a few rounds, showing everyone how elegant she was!

There are no words to describe how unhappy this girl was. But if you imagine that our greedy little girl refused to eat any yummy treats, you can pretty much understand it.

She was ok with the smaller dogs, though, which is good. For boarding, the large and small dogs are kept separated, so it means that she should be fine.

We also met a gorgeous foster rottie there. She is beautiful and absolutely loves the water. Everytime you throw a toy in the pool, she will jump in and get it. She has a wonderful temperament too! Her name is Rottie.

Eva is sleeping soundly now, four legs in the air.
After all, home is always the safest place to be.

Happy Belated Father's Day & my new friends

Hi buddies, it's Eva here today

I actually wanted to wish you all a very Happy Father's Day yesterday but my mom said she wanted to post something about my last OB class thingy and she would send the wishes in the same post too. What a shame! She forgot about it. Nothing about 'Happy Father's Day' mentioned in the previous post. Didn't she know that Father's Day is more important?

 Oops, my apologies!!!

Anyway, in order to mend her mistakes, my hoomanlady took me to visit my daddy and his other family members.

I was so happy so I tried to make a 'cheese' face,
Not really good at it though

My mom didn't tell me where we went when she put me in the car. I stayed in my crate quietly and didn't say anything as I know she doesn't like others to disturb her when she's going to somewhere she's not so familiar with. She needs 100% concentration while she's driving. I behaved very well. Really well. I didn't even breathe heavily as I was afraid I might disturb her. I could feel that the journey was a bit longer than usual, it's definitely longer than the journey to my private doctor and it's even longer than the journey to my OB classes. Oh my my, it really took sometime when she finally said, 'Ok, we're here, Puppy!'

Then I saw this lady whom I've met a couple of times before and when I looked around, I remember I'd been here once.

I saw my daddy, my beloved daddy. But I almost couldn't recognise him because he had a new trim, even Blossom, my mom's best girl friend had a trim too. I really wanted to show you their pictures, especially my dad. However, they didn't allow me as they said they'd prefer you all see them when their coat is fully grown again! I promised them.

Instead of putting my daddy's picture here, I'm here.
Look at my eyes, they said I've my daddy's eyes!
But I look more like my dearest mama, Hana

However, I couldn't resist to show you my new friends here. Mind you, they are so gorgeous and beautiful that you might fall in love with them. They're very kind and gentle to me and they played with me too. It's so much fun to play with them and I liked them very much.

Come meet my friends...

Jenna the blue merle girl,
isn't she sweet?

Joshua the bi-black

A beautiful family!!!
(from left to right, Daisy, Pico, Jenna and Joshua)

I made sure I'm in the picture too : )

Daisy and Pico

After the formalities of butt-smelling,

I decided to pounce on Daisy and so the games began!

A short break ...

The End!!!

Eva's first OUTING!

Little Eva had her first visit to my sister's place as I would like to introduce her to new places, people, animals and other new things in a positive and non-threatening way. I thought my sister's house could be an ideal place to start it as there are many people and dogs over there; there are my parents, two little girls and my sister with two Shi Tzus and one mixed breed as well.

Ready, Set, GO!

Loads of yelps were the welcome notes from the two Shi Tzus when we arrived but little Eva wasn't impressed by them at all. She was clinging to me tightly when we entered the house and was unusually quiet for a long time. She looked a bit lost and worried and stayed close with me in the beginning. I think it's because it's the first time she saw so many different people and other doggies around her and on top of that, it was a foreign place to her.

She even hid her head under me while her butt was being sniffed :)) by the doggies, of course.

However, little Eva was finally relaxed after her meal and showed her deep interest in the house. She even marked her territory with TWO PEES! She started to make contact with the dogs and the children, roaming around in the house, checking every corner of the living room and playing happily with my sister too.

Hello, I'm Eva

New friends, Brian and Bob
Just a little note here. Bob, the guy on the right was actually Rosie's first ever dog, her 4th birthday present from my sister. However, at that time, I didn't allow dogs in the house and so my sister kept him in her house. Now, 10years later, just look at me, I have two shelties, and both are allowed in the house!
Brian was mistreated badly by his previous owner and so my sister took him in and now he's a very happy dog, although rather skittish at times.

When we went back to the car, Eva didn't want to come home!
Look at her, trying to escape.

When we reached home, we were given very big welcome-home kisses and sniffs from our beloved 3.

Everybody asked Eva where she had been...
ahh but it's our little secret !!

I think we had a very good day today as my princess Eva is still sleeping soundly next to her mama. She's exhausted!!!

Although I'm not sure you would call that sleeping!
