CNY Celebrations!!!

Chinese New Year for me has been such an enjoyable festive season!
Way better than Christmas!! Wanna know why?
My humans went back to their human-parents' house 3 nights in a row for dinner, and guess what! They took me along with them!

I've enjoyed all the car rides, meeting new people, being with new people, and following them around looking for food!

It had been raining all day every day for the past few days. I was so glad that it stopped raining before Chinese New Year!
When it rained, I was stuck at home and I got rather bored. Without my morning runs and house watching, I felt like none of my duties have been fulfilled.
Mom said I had been really gloomy and grumpy.

Yes, I tend to give the 'evil eye' when I'm feeling down.

Luckily, the sun came back and so did the soothing wind and I was happy again!

I have been blowing a lot of coat these past couple of weeks. My humans have been quite worried because they have never seen me blow such an amount of coat before. Hopefully though, when my new coat comes, it will be fluffier and bigger than it was!

Another big piece of news is that I'm probably going to have the girl's surgery soon, probably next weekend.
My humans are pretty worried, but they know the consequences of not getting it done.
I guess they are being over-protective.

I hope all of you have a great weekend!

May be your blowing of the coat is a sign of spring ;)

How great that Eva has been able to join in the festivities. It is such a wonderful way to create memories with your dog.

I'm sure everything will be fine with the surgery.

Love the close up photo of Eva. She reminds me of Munchkin in that photo.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVA!

Sooo glad the weather cleared up for you!

I agree that maybe you are just blowing your coat from a change in the seasons? Do dogs shed in warm climates like in cold ones?

We thought you already had your female surgery! We didn't know that! Ohhh you will be fine!! xoxoxo

Hopefully blowing your coat is a sign of Spring approaching. Mom said that the Shelties she had usually blew more coat as they got older, too. I am so glad that you've been having fun and were included in all the celebrations!

We will have our paws crossed for you during your surgery. Honestly, mine didn't bother me much at all! I know how moms worry over these things, though!

Blowing the coat is quite normal, I leave mine EVERYWHERE when spring comes :) The Chinese New Year sounded like a wonderful treat for to enjoy. I hope your Girl Operation goes well, but my Mom says she knows from experience that your Mom and Dad will probably feel awful after is done as they will not like seeing you all groggy, but the next day you will be up and about and in a few days you will be fine and running around like usual.

Glad you had a great CNY celebrations! Unlike you, I was cooped up at home, with my walking schedule all upside down and I barely got to see my people. But the cookies were fantastic!

The Mommas and I will be praying that the surgery goes well and that you make a quick recovery!

I didn't blow my coat so much my first year or so, but this year at winter it did lots and it came through extra fluffy!
Glad you feel happier now that the sun has come back out!

Glad that sun came back out for you!!! The girl surgery is a piece of cake, ask them to do your toe nails while you are under anesthesia, that is the best part of surgery ;-), and make sure they get you some good pain relief for afterwards, life will be way nicer afterwards.....I keep telling cricket that, she has been warned by the other dogs to watch out when I tell her she is going to the vet to get her nails done ;-).

Eva, I have never seen a bad picture of you..not even with the evil eye...you are so very pretty! Holly has blown her coat a few times a year to where I got all upset and took her to the vet expecting the worst and it was just new fur coming in. This past fall was the worst..it came out in clumps. Your girl surgery will be fine although I'm not sure about your mom and family..if they are like me....my friend took us to leave Holly and I left there just crying so much! When we picked her up, all was fine and she didnt' even have to wear the cone at all!! We will be sending extra prayers for you for next weekends surgery though. Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

Dunc's coat is redunkulous! Mom brushed like 10lbs off him Saturday!!

Don't worry about the girl surgery...I had it. You should read my account, it was sometime in 2009, and I've never looked back!

That sounds like fun! Too bad my hoomans' relatives aren't huge fans of dogs. And the hoomans went to Malacca for a day for visitation as well!

Happy CNY!!
